We are creating an interdependent and open-minded community whose purpose is to help our clients sell or let their homes through developing trustful relationships with them, as well as their potential buyers and tenants.
Our mission is to embark on a journey with you, to explore property opportunities and discover the best solutions together by providing consistent guidance throughout.
Lundiniom Ethos
Good things come to those who believe, better things come to those who are patient and the best things come to those who don’t give up.
Martin Luther King
The man behind the concept of Lundiniom is Rod Hotton, who originally founded Lundiniom in 2017.
Rod started his career to help people find their dream homes over 30 years ago. He has worked in diverse markets in different locations, including London, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey. He has also worked overseas. Over the years, he faced many adverse and exciting times in Estate Agency. Having worked together with small independents and large corporate companies, such as Foxtons, Parkers, Chancellors, and a few others along the way, he is widely known in the real estate community. This gave him an opportunity to work with many inspiring and innovative people. Rod’s inspirational and resourceful insight comes from his extensive experience, as well as some of the interesting challenges he has faced, while working in financial services, sales, lettings and property development.

Technology may be leading the way but
estate agency is about people
Rod launched Lundiniom with the aim of bringing estate agents back into the community. He believes having local agents who work interdependently with Lundiniom, who have local knowledge and understand the current property market conditions in their area, are the best people to advise and support you when it comes to selling or letting your property or helping you find a new home.
Rod has researched new technology that is being introduced into the world of estate agency. He believes these technological tools are integral to the future of real estate but should not replace the human side of the industry. To offer the best service we need to remember this is a people industry, it is not all about property and the bottom line.
In addition to helping our clients, we are also mindful about elevating our agents. Our agents work under the Lundiniom name but are creating their own business. Rod did not want to create a corporate environment in order to give people the opportunity to work flexibly and in the best interests of their clients.
Rod believes in a consistent and persistent approach to marketing. That the key to successful agency is listening, understanding and action. To be trusted to sell or let another person’s home is both a privilege and a responsibility.
Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.

Marcus Aurelius
The name Lundiniom was a playful twist on words which Rod and his family came up with. Fundamentally, it is a symbolic collaboration between Viking strength, Roman ingenuity, and Anglo-Saxon tenacity, reminding us of the powerful, historical foundation that early Britain was built on. These attributes are key in the moral compass of Lundiniom.
Roman Architecture
The settlement Londinium was established by Romans as a strategic point crossing over the river Thames. It was a port and trading post with direct links to Europe and the whole world, as well as a gateway to the rest of Britain. Londinium was extremely well known because of the large number of merchants who frequented its shores and the great quantity of merchandise that passed through its port.
Anglo-Saxon Runes
The settlement Lundenwic, translates into “London trading town, was a trading port established by the Anglo-Saxons, an emporium for international trade. It enabled tradespeople of multicultural backgrounds to bring in their goods in by land and sea and share them in one place.
Later London became known as Lundenburg, its walls rebuilt and fortified by Alfred the Great. The name Lunden being mentioned in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicles, which are believed to have their origins in the 9th Century, during Alfred’s reign of Wessex.
Lunden – An Extract from
The Anglo-Saxon Chronicles
We were inspired by the history of London during this period and felt compelled to honour it. Lundiniom has its name as a tribute to the past, and like the trading post of old England is a centre for uniting professionals from different cultures, countries and trades. However, like our Viking, Roman and Ango-Saxon ancestors we are embarking on a journey to create our own history and pave the way to a new future….
